Santa Hat Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Red and white medium-weight yarn
• 5.0 mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Step 1: Crochet the Brim in White

Chain Stitch for the Brim’s Length

1. Start by making a slip knot on your hook.

• Chain 9 stitches to create the width of the brim.

2. Single Crochet Across

• Insert your hook into the second chain from the hook.
• Single crochet (SC) across the chain, ending with 8 stitches.

3. Continue Rows for the Ribbed Brim

• Rows 2-40: Chain 1 and turn. Work a single crochet stitch into each stitch across.
• Keep this pattern for 40 rows or until it fits around your head. Slip-stitch the ends together to form a ring, creating the brim of your Santa hat.

Step 2: Begin the Hat’s Body in Red

Attach Red Yarn

• With the white brim complete, switch to red yarn.
