Change to green yarn. Work evenly around the edge of the brim in a single crochet.

2. From the Cone Shape

Round 5: Begin decreasing, working SC in every other stitch, to make the cone of the Santa hat.

Keep decreasing

Work in rounds, decreasing by not making a stitch in some places, until just a few stitches remain at the top.

Step 3: Conclude with a Bell or Pom-Pom Adding a Small Bell For an even more spirited finish on the Elf hat, sew a small bell or a pom-pom onto the top with a yarn needle.
