What you needed
- Worsted weight yarn (choice of colour)
- 3.5 mm or 4 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Stitch Guide
You’ll use simple stitches:
- CH (Chain): Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook.
- SC (Single Crochet): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through both loops.
- SL ST (Slip Stitch): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through both loops.
Step 1: Crochet the Rectangle
Chain 11
Row 1: SC in the 2nd chain from hook and in each stitch across (10 SC). Chain 1, turn.
Rows 2–6: SC in every stitch across, chain 1, turn.
You will have a small rectangle (the body of your bow).
Step 2: Wrap the Centre
Leave a long tail when fastening off.
Pinch the centre of your rectangle to create a bow shape.
Wrap tightly with yarn tail around the middle several times.
Tie a knot at the back and weave in with a yarn needle.
And that's it—your bow is complete!
Make bigger bows by starting with more chains and rows.
Use cotton yarn for crisp edges or acrylic for softer bows.
Add a clip or sew it onto hats, headbands, or shoes!
You did it!
You’ve just made a super cute crochet bow!
These are amazing little projects to make in batches, and they add charm to
anything.
Try using different yarn colours or glittery threads for
extra sparkle.
